The Gospel Of Luke Week 6 English

This sixth message teaches that Jesus’ coming calls us to genuine repentance and visible obedience. From Luke 3:1–22, John the Baptist calls people to “prepare the way” for the coming King, showing that repentance is more than regret—it is turning from sin toward God and producing visible fruit in everyday life through generosity, honesty, integrity, contentment, and obedience. The message then turns to Jesus’ baptism, where the sinless Son enters the waters alongside the people He came to save, identifying with them and embracing His mission. As Jesus prays, the Spirit descends upon Him and the Father declares Him His beloved Son, revealing Jesus as the Spirit-anointed Savior who begins His mission in humility and dependence on the Father. The sermon ultimately calls believers to identify what needs to be cleared from their lives, let repentance become visible through obedience, and receive Jesus not only as Savior and comforter but as King. Because Christ has come near to save, we are called to turn toward Him with faith, surrender, and Spirit-dependent obedience.
