Thorns & Thistles Week 2 English
This message teaches that being “crushed” in seasons of suffering does not mean being rejected by God, but often reflects His work of shaping and consecrating His people. Drawing from Isaiah 53:5, it shows that Jesus was uniquely crushed for our sins to secure our healing, removing all condemnation for those in Him. Then, through Second Epistle to the Corinthians 4:8–10, it explains that believers may face real pressure, yet are sustained by God’s power rather than destroyed. Suffering, therefore, is not meaningless—it reveals the condition of our hearts, deepens dependence on God, and forms Christ within us. Ultimately, the message calls believers to respond not with self-preservation but with surrender, trusting that God uses even painful seasons to set them apart for His purposes.
